There are many things to be thankful for at this time of year. I am personally thankful for the relationships I have with the teachers and students at Moorcroft K8. It’s a great place where students learn academics and other skills needed in life. Many of these other skills are learned through Project-based Learning and Project Lead the Way, both strategies from S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
We finished up our MAP testing and the students did a great job. Many were able to meet the goal they set for themselves prior to testing. I’ve seen great things going on in the classroom and I hope to interact with students more as the school year cruises by. We’re working on setting up the display television in the cafeteria to show pictures of students working in the classroom and out. Once we have it set up, feel free to drop in and check out what your kids have been up to. We also had our 1st quarter award assembly where Mr. Johnston, our music teacher, and his music students stole the show and showed us what they’ve learned so far. They had some great cheers and songs ready for all the parents who came. Kids are singing up and down the halls and in their classrooms. Great job!
