Q: Will I receive a copy of my results to share with my personal physician?
A: Absolutely!! Results are available on-line within a few days of the blood draw. Additionally, a hard copy is mailed to each participant in a couple of weeks.
Q: What tests are available?
A: In addition to the 32 profiles on the chemistry panel, there are many other screenings available for participants. Click HERE
Q: How much does the blood draw cost me?
A: WSBAIT pays 100% of the chemistry panel. If a participant is interested in additional tests, they are available at a minimal cost and billed directly to your wellness benefit. No payment is necessary the day of the blood draw.
Q: Last year my blood pressure was high, but it was fine when I had it re-checked later.
A: You are welcome to take a WHF Blood Pressure form to a medical professional and have it completed any time after January 1 and before the blood draw event. Your school nurse can help you with this process. Just present the form at the event when you register to avoid having your blood pressure taken that day. Click HERE for the form
Q: Once my blood has been drawn and my blood pressure taken, what else do I need to do?
A: Eat and Relax. No further requirements! You may complete the Health Assessment during the event; it is not a requirement, but rather a wellness tool available to everyone. The District will use the wellness portal to initiate wellness challenges during the next year, so please use the portal and participate with your peers.
Q: My spouse is unable to attend any of the WHF events, what do I do?
A: CCSD#1 understands that spouse's work schedules may not coincide with the scheduled events. CCSD#1 has added the Saturday event to accommodate those folks, as well as earlier start times of 6:00 AM at each event. Other scheduled events click HERE or at the Gillette College, Technical Education Center, Room 106 on the 1st and 3rd Friday each month, 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
